Important: If you smell natural gas in your home, leave immediately. Do not operate anything that could cause a spark, including lights, cell phones, flashlights, and appliances. FAQs
::Tab 2 Content::
Q: I've got an old water heater. Will you cover it?
A: Yes! There are no restrictions on the age or brand of your water heater in order for it to be eligible for coverage. Please note, though, that repair coverage begins 30 days after your enrollment is accepted, and pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Q: I've got a tankless water heater. Is that covered?
A: Yes! Our techs will service traditional or tankless models - gas, electric, or oil-fueled!
Q: Does my homeowners insurance cover this?
A: Most standard homeowners insurance policies do not cover repair and maintenance of household appliances like water heaters. It is possible that your individual policy does, but these responsibilities commonly fall on the homeowner. That’s why enrolling in our Water Heater Repair plan makes sense.
Q: What is covered by Water Heater Repair?
A: The plan provides up to $2,000 per year (up to $400 per incident) toward repair or replacement of one gas, tankless, electric, or oil water heater — parts and labor. Repairs are performed by local, experienced, pre-qualified service providers. There are some exclusions in the coverage, which can be found in the Customer Agreement that you can review at YourHomeSolutions.com/agreement. If a service provider is not available in your area, you may be reimbursed for using your own plumber for a covered incident.
Q: What should I do if I'm not getting any hot water at my sinks and showers?
A: If you’re enrolled in the Water Heater Repair plan, call our customer service line. We’ll get you connected with a local, licensed service professional to come and address the problem. If the repair falls within your coverage and coverage limits, you won’t pay a penny for it.
